ANXIETY SYMPTOMS and PANIC ATTACK INFORMATION
Anxiety can be defined as an emotional state which arises that is essentially fear based . Normally in everyday life anxiety is a reality which most of us are aware of and do have from time to time. To be slightly stressed and have some degree of angst through anticipation or a new situation is normal . But the symptoms and reactions can very often have imagined , illogical or subconscious factors involved . Together with a disproportionate response and you can end up with anxiety or panic attacks . Sometimes the root of this can be seen from the trigger moment to the current even .Other times it appears with little or no warning .If the event is a panic attack the this can be especially frightening.
Anxiety Symptoms
There could be a trigger moment where the start of anxiety could be traced or it could just be suddenly appear .The final symptoms are usually the same . Anxiety is a complex condition, and is composed
of a number of different elements. Some of these elements are somatic or cognitive, and the body will
be reactive as if to prepare itself to deal with some sort of external threat , the so called Fight or flight syndrome .There is a feeling of extreme vulnerability , nausea , hot and cold flushing . Perhaps a feeling of being trapped or one of dread .
Anxiety persons are acutely aware of themselves and often continually monitor their actions in a state of high vigilance . They compare themselves to others and this makes the situation more acute, as question as to why they just cant be normal .
Anxiety check list
* Without any real activity and just hanging about , you feel fidgety or are anxious
* Are there obsessive thoughts going round in your head driving you crazy so to speak
* Do you have a feeling of dread or fear as though something bad is about to happen for no real reason
* Do you have sticky clammy feelings and/or hot and cold flushes
* Do you feel you cant cope and that you are losing control
* Do you have muscular tension or body stiffness.
* Do you have shaking ,twitching trembling of the limbs
* Do you suddenly have crawling feelings on your skin .Do the hairs on you skin feel as though they are
standing up
Panic Attacks
Panic attack syndrome is related to that of anxiety . It is also fear based but it is the speed and
intensity that places it in to this area .Panic attacks can be terrifying to have, especially on an ongoing
basis as they can be unpredictably triggered. This results in huge surges of overwhelming fear which can make
and make the person feel as though they are losing control,that they are going to die or be annihilated .
The checklist is more or less similar to that of anxiety but the speed and intensity is what make it different.
Also the sudden onslaught without warning can make it a terrifying experience. This can make the person shut
down their life . They may be afraid to go out , drive a car ,avoid public places or social gatherings.They
may also cancel appointments or meetings or social activities . This can result in a chronic condition of
fear and avoidance and could result in an onset of depression . If the depression is ongoing and acute then
there may be suicidal tenancies . So Anxiety and Panic attacks are something when one becomes aware of should not take lightly .
Treatment
Various treatments and remedies are available and have been used throughout the ages ,such as exercise , yoga and movement classes . Also alternative therapies such as herbal preparations are taken which can even reduce and calm the emotional swings . Of course one can move to the medical field for consultation and medication.
Be aware that sometimes there can be adverse effects with pharmaceutical drugs for some people.
